Join us as a Prayer Partner, lifting up the need for affordable housing in our community and world.  Include the Habitat for Humanity Prayer for Shelter in your gatherings, meetings and worship services throughout the first weekend of October.

Congregations of all sizes can support Habitat for Humanity in a variety of ways.

A Habitat project can be customized to meet the needs of your faith organization. Consider how Habitat for Humanity could help your congregation meet ministry and missions goals. Projects can be designed for students, singles, small groups or the entire group.

Reasons to get involved:

  • Habitat projects can help build any faith organization. A Habitat project can be just the spark that gets people in your organization excited about working with the community.
  • Building together allows people to put their faith in action.
  • The opportunity to work on a Habitat for Humanity build site can attract visitors and offers opportunities to build relationships.
  • Individuals can experience spiritual growth through their service to others.
  • Lives are changed.

How to get involved:

  • Build a House - on your own or join with other churches to serve God's people in need by sponsoring a house.
  • Financial Support - adopt the Habitat ministry as a missions partner or make special offerings to support the ministry.
  • Volunteer - organize volunteers to work regularly or on a special work day. Serve on Habitat committees or focus teams.
  • Pray - our mission is empowered when the community of faith prays for Habitat and when congregations join as partners in discipleship and service.
