Did you know it takes nearly 35,000 nails to build a Habitat for Humanity house?
Help raise $150,000 to buy those nails and fund the second youth-sponsored home in Greater Los Angeles.
Make a difference through Nickels for Nails and see first-hand how donating extra change can make a life-altering difference for one deserving family.
Young people and Group Coordinators who sign up will receive a label for their coin collection container along with a how-to guide about holding a successful fund drive. Teachers can also request curriculum plans to educate their students about the growing housing crisis and how everyone can make a difference.
Have some extra change, but want to ask family and friends to donate online too?
You can! Donate online. Start a school page, one for your class or group and an individual page to track how much you have raised. The group that raises the most money will win a pizza party (up to 25 people) and those 16 and older will get to build on the youth-sponsored Habitat for Humanity home. The winner will also be highlighted in HFH GLA’s newsletter and on the website. All youth participating in Nickels for Nails are invited to meet the partner family and attend the housewarming celebration.
