Faith
Relations
Our
love should not be just words and talk; it must
be true love, which shows itself in
action. - 1 John 3:18 NASB
Congregations
of all sizes can support Habitat for Humanity in
a variety of ways. A
Habitat project can be customized to meet the
needs of your faith organization. Consider
how Habitat for Humanity could help your
congregation meet ministry and missions
goals. Projects can be designed for
students, singles, small groups or the entire
group.
Reasons
to get involved:
- Habitat
projects can help build any faith
organization. A Habitat project can be
just the spark that gets people in your
organization excited about working with the
community.
- Building
together allows people to put their faith in
action.
- The
opportunity to work on a Habitat for
Humanity build site can attract visitors and
offers opportunities to build relationships.
- Individuals
can experience spiritual growth through
their service to others.
- Lives
are changed.
"Today
I have faith in God and confidence in
myself. I believe there is hope for us
because of organizations like Habitat for
Humanity"

"At
Habitat for Humanity of Greater LA
partnership with the faith community is one of
our most important priorities. As people
of faith put their beliefs into action, homes
are built and families are changed. We could not
successfully complete the work that we do
without the power and financial support of our
faith partners. Together we can create a
sustainable impact in the Los Angeles
area."
- Erin Rank, President & CEO HFH GLA
