Do you have a few morning or afternoon hours to spare? Volunteer at our business office and see how Habitat for Humanity works from the inside-out! Volunteers are needed to answer phones, maintain the volunteer database, help with mailings and assist on other projects. Data Entry VolunteerAssist in the daily operations of the Volunteer Services Department by tracking critical volunteer information. This data makes it possible for us to communicate regularly with volunteers, appreciate the work they do, and provide funding sources with accurate data about our volunteer workforce. Commit to volunteer regularly in this capacity for four hours weekly for two to three months. Volunteers on Site
Prepare and bring lunch to our hardworking volunteers on our sites. Volunteers work up quite an appetite and they would appreciate items like sandwiches, chips, fruit, cookies and other site friendly food to get them fueled and ready for the afternoon. You can either prepare the food at home or purchase it pre-made. Lunch usually begins at 11:30 am on our sites, so the lunches would need to be delivered between 11am and 11:30am. Capture the work of our volunteers as they build homes for families in need and showcase the work that we're doing. All that's needed is an eye for the shot and a digital camera. Sign up on line through our registration site, choose an activity then contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteers@habitatla.org and let them know that you will be taking photos at the chosen location. Once you are ready to upload the photos, you can then send them to the Volunteer Coordinator. Photographers will need to send their pictures electronically to volunteers@habitatla.org. Welcome
volunteers to the construction site. Site hosts create a welcoming
environment for all volunteers, make sure that all volunteers sign-in, their
paperwork is turned in and filed properly. Site hosts are needed from 7:45
a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Tuesday - Saturday, and must be at least 16 years old. Please contact volunteers@habitatla.org
